 Radiation Protection in Nuclear Medicine
Until now TLDs have been the only reliable method of measuring finger dose. However, the use of TLDs is complicated, time consuming and requires the use of other resources. It is also difficult to undertake dosecomparisons based on the working practices of different individuals. This has resulted in many different radiation protection protocols being adopted for the handling of radiopharmaceuticals. The Unfors NED provides a simple and effective solution to radiation protection procedures and follow-up.
Will not obstruct the procedure
Placement of the small sensor on your finger will not obstruct the procedure. The sensor can be positioned anywhere on the finger. This flexibility gives you the possibility to measure finger dose in a wide range of environments.
Dose rate warnings
Unfors NED will give you immediate (within one second) audible warnings when the preset dose rates are exceeded. This means that there is an increased awareness when the doses are the highest. The Unfors NED can even be used to discover possible contaminations during or after the procedure.
