Unfors Instruments, Inc., New Milford, CT, has expanded their facilities to include a new calibration and service department. With the installation of new R/F and Mammography generators Unfors now has the capacity to calibrate and service all Unfors products.
Over the past months Unfors USA has been working very closely with Unfors Sweden to mirror the two laboratories and to match all beam qualities.
Before sending your instrument to us If you are experiencing difficulties with your Unfors instrument, please call or email us prior to sending your instrument. Some difficulties may be resolved without having your instrument sent to us.
If you want to discuss an X-ray QA measuring application it is very helpful to have the following information available:
· X-ray equipment type
· Unfors model incl s/n
· Generator kVp setting
· Generator mA setting
· Exposure time setting
· Waveform used. Frequency? Size of ripple.
· Tube filtration used
· Focus-instrument distance (SID)
Additional documentation such as measurement files from Excel or Unfors Xi View is also helpful.
